Formula

Load Calculation batata hai system kitna maximum power handle karega - isse cable, breaker, transformer size decide hote hain. Energy Calculation batata hai monthly kitni electricity consume hogi - isse bill estimate hota hai.

Example: 1.5T AC ka load 1800W hai (load calc), par wo sirf 6 ghante chalta hai toh daily energy = 1800W × 6h = 10.8 kWh (energy calc).
Diversity Factor kya hota hai aur kyun zaroori hai?
Diversity Factor ye assumption hai ki ghar/factory mein saare appliances ek saath nahi chalte. Example: AC, geyser, pump alag-alag time pe chalte hain.

IS 3043 ke hisaab se:
• Residential: 0.5 to 0.8
• Commercial: 0.7 to 0.9
• Industrial: 0.8 to 1.0

Agar diversity factor nahi lagayein toh system over-designed hoga aur cost zyada aayegi.
Power Factor (PF) ko improve karna kyun zaroori hai?
Low Power Factor se 3 problems hoti hain:

1. Penalty: DISCOM PF < 0.9 pe penalty lagata hai
2. Higher Current: Same kW ke liye zyada current → cable aur transformer oversize
3. Losses: I²R losses badh jaate hain → energy waste

Solution: Capacitor bank lagayein.
Starting Current kyun 6-7 times zyada hoti hai?
Motor start hone ke waqt slip = 1 hota hai (rotor speed zero). Is condition mein rotor mein maximum EMF induce hoti hai aur starting current = V/Z (standstill impedance) hoti hai.

Starting Methods:
• DOL: 6-7 × FLC
• Star-Delta: 2-2.5 × FLC
• Soft Starter: 2-4 × FLC
• VFD: 1-1.5 × FLC
Cable size select karte waqt kya kya dekhein?
Cable size sirf current se nahi decide hoti. 4 factors hain:

3. Short Circuit Withstand: Cable fault current se jal na jaaye
4. Derating Factors: Ambient temp, grouping, installation method
Sanctioned Load kya hota hai aur kaise apply karein?
Sanctioned Load wo load hai jo aapke electricity connection mein approved hai. DISCOM iske hisaab se fixed charges lagate hain.

Apply kaise karein:
