Flow Measurement Ki Poori Duniya: Basics se Expert Tak

Bhai, Industrial Engineering mein Flow maapna utna hi zaroori hai jitna sharir mein khoon ka bahav. Agar flow meter sahi nahi hai, toh plant ki efficiency zero ho jayegi. Chaliye iska postmortem karte hain.

1. Flow Rate aur Velocity: Kya Different Hai?

Ek na-samajh banda dono ko ek hi samajhta hai, par fark bada hai:

  • Velocity (v): Ye fluid ki speed hai (Speedometer ki tarah). 1 second mein pani kitni door gaya.
  • Flow Rate (Q): Ye fluid ka total volume hai. Ek ghante mein kitna bucket pani bhar gaya.

2. Flow Calculation Formula (Sabse Saral Tareeka)

Flow nikalne ke liye humein pipe ka area aur fluid ki speed chahiye hoti hai.

Flow (Q) = Area (A) × Velocity (v)
A = Ï€ × (D / 2)²

Industrial calculations mein hum 3600 se guna (multiply) karte hain taaki humein ghante (hour) ka hisaab mile.

3. Orifice Plate aur Bernoulli's Principle

Industry mein sabse zyada Orifice Plate use hoti hai. Ye Bernoulli's Principle par kaam karti hai. Jab fluid chote ched (orifice) se guzarta hai, toh pressure girta hai aur velocity badhti hai.

Yaad Rakhein: Flow is directly proportional to the Square Root of DP (Differential Pressure).

4. Laminar vs Turbulent Flow: Reynolds Number

Flow ka behaviour janne ke liye Reynolds Number (Re) check kiya jata hai:

  • Laminar Flow (Re < 2000): Pani ekdum shaant aur seedha behta hai.
  • Turbulent Flow (Re > 4000): Pani pipes mein bhawar banata hai (Vortices). Industry mein 99% flow Turbulent hi hota hai.

5. Magnetic Flow Meter (Faraday's Law)

E&H jaise brand ke Magflow meters Faraday's Law par kaam karte hain. Jab conductive pani magnetic field se guzarta hai, toh voltage paida hota hai. Point: Ye tel (Oil) ke liye kaam nahi karta kyunki tel conductive nahi hota.

7. Flow Units Conversion

Conversion ke bina calculation adhura hai:

  • 1 m³/hr = 1000 Liters per hour.
  • 1 m³/hr = 16.67 Liters per minute (LPM).
  • 1 m³/hr = 4.403 US Gallons per minute (GPM).

Expert Tip: Hamesha Pipe ka 'Inner Diameter' (ID) check karein. Agar aapne galti se OD (Outer Diameter) use kiya, toh flow ki reading mein 15% tak ki galti ho sakti hai!
